OK, I like this stuff

Scoop it!! I had no idea what this was and I love it. It's kind of like a Pinterest but with a flare. What I found interesting was how easy it is to "scoop it" and publish it in mere seconds. No need to make sites complicated if you want people to simply enjoy using it. Sometimes I can imagine people creating sites and while trying to come off as very smart, they create so many problems for the user, it becomes a chore that users will try a few times and delete it. Yes techies, we mere mortals have no patience for over the top programs that causes more grief than finding a fly in our soup. Make it simple and interesting and you've got a winner.

This was suppose to be fun but it's not. Why do they make this so complicated. I use Wordpress and it's very user friendly. This blog site, not so much. I am almost struggling through the last weeks of this assignment (I call it this because it's really a job that I have to finish and feel obligated to do well) I am trying to catch up after being off for the last 6 weeks on sick leave and maybe I am out of the loop. This weather is probably not helping my mood today so it is what it is. No one can ever say I don't speak my mind, because I do. I am going to add this photo of a beautiful sunrise over Varadero to help calm myself..and breathe....

Winter blahs

what a winter...Surgery with 6 weeks recoup and the worst wintry temperature ever. Cold, ice, snow and no signs of ending. I guess you could call me a typical maritime girl but enough is enough. I took myself down south about a week ago for little sun and relaxation. It felt so good to put on my sandals and sundress. I loaded up on vitamin D and also had a few cold drinks to make all the wintry thoughts go away even if it was just for a little while.
Here I am back home fighting to get to work through the slush and snow. Oh, please Mother Nature, we've had enough, whatever we did wrong, we apologize. Bring on the sun and the heat, I'm ready for it.

Winter Sparkles

Oh my, have we had enough of winter, I know I have. Why do we complain, because we can. This morning I decided to take a closer look at snowflakes so here is my first attempt at macro photography and snowflakes.http://mypicturestoo.wordpress.com/2014/02/16/snowflake/

Bright Light

Here's the latest of my tree photos. Love the light coming through the branches, it gives a sense of warmth..and we all know how much we need warmth in this cold environment. Longing for summer...Will be posting my summer pics soon.

Urban

Here's a link to my latest abstract creation. The streets of New York. Probably one of my favourites city to visit. I love the energy, the people and just the vibrancy of it's surroundings. http://mypicturestoo.wordpress.com/2014/01/24/urban/

In the cold of winter

I know we like to complain about the cold...and I'm no different. The old saying of, if you can't beat them ,join them(talking about all the skiers and snow lovers out there)does not apply to me. I see no use for -30 weather. People tell me, well at least we have no mosquitos..excuse me but we rarely see mosquitos at +10 so that won't convince me to dress up and join anyone outside. I am catching up on all my tv shows ( thank the good Lord for PVR's) and am almost done reading, Woman's Murder Club by James Patterson..I have to tell you, the guy can keep you on the edge of your seat. Well, I suppose that's all I have to say for now. Will be tweeting a few more times tonight. I have actually sync my Twitter account with my Wordpress photo blog. Unfortunatly, I can't sync all 3 together. http://mypicturestoo.wordpress.com/

Re-visit an old friend.

I had actually created this blog a few years ago but had changed to Wordpress because I enjoyed the photo format it offered. I am happy though that I'm back cause it will force me to work a little harder to put into words what I usually like to convey in photos.
